Reaching and Engaging with Hispanic Communities: A Research-Informed Communication Guide for Nonprofits, Policymakers, and Funders was presented at the Communications Network’s Annual Conference in 2016 and to date it has been shared with thousands of professionals throughout the USA.

Bridges for Schools is an innovative program aimed at creating a sense of belonging and meaningful engagement within a school community. The Crimsonbridge Foundation provides funding and tools for schools to invest in Spanish and bilingual communications, parent engagement strategies, cultural competency, and more. Bridges for Schools partners include 49 schools in the Archdiocese of Washington, Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Diocese of Arlington, and Diocese of Newark.

To support increased outreach to Latina girls in the Greater Washington region. Girl Scouts will develop a Spanish-language microsite, including four short videos, and translate registration materials and important program information (2017). To expand the Encuentro de Chicas Latinas de las Girl Scouts, a leadership conference for Latina girls in grades 6 through 12, designed to inspire and recognize their abilities and become active in their schools and communities (2018).

To redesign the website and develop a comprehensive Spanish-language microsite. The microsite will be an important resource for under-resourced Hispanic families, who represent over 60% of Catholic Charities’ clients, and for Spanish-speaking individuals seeking access to essential services and education opportunities.

To create a Spanish-language microsite with videos informing Spanish-speaking parents about Girls on the Run events and programming. Girls on the Run Montgomery County, MD, won a national pace-setter award for this work, and their microsite now serves as a template for Girls on the Run councils across the country to build Spanish-language microsites.
